Description
A Sauvignon Blanc from Canada? Yes, indeed! Wine from the Okanagan Valley has been arousing interest over the last few years, and in particular wines from Christine Coletta and Steve Lornie who have built a reputation that centres on their commitment to organic farming and natural winemaking.
Garnered from the Summerland vineyard the Sauvignon Blanc grapes make their way to the winery where New Zealand winemaker Matt Dumayne, who joined the team in in 2013, works his magic. Matt and his cellar team craft unadulterated wines using state-of-the-art concrete tanks and natural winemaking procedures, including fermentation with wild yeast.
The wine has all the characteristics you would expect from a quality Sauvignon Blanc – lively citrus aromas and flavours, but with an added layer of green mango and grapefruit together with herbaceous notes of rosemary and bay leaf.
This wine is an ideal accompaniment to chicken and fish dishes and is also good with pasta with cream sauces.
