Description
This delightful unoaked chardonnay has aromas and flavours of lemon, grapefruit, green apple and white stone fruit balanced by a classic ‘Chablis’ minerality from the soil.
The Estate, from which the first grapes were harvested in 1949, is a family concern, now in its third generation. As you would expect, considerable care and attention is given to both vines and wine to create a Chablis worthy of its name – this fairly straightforward wine is nonetheless made from grapes 35 year-old vines and has a real concentration of flavour. In 2019, to underline the dedication the Estate has to the continuation of its commitment to the business, it started its journey towards organic certification.
This wine can be drunk on its own, but it also makes ideal accompaniment to fish dishes.
