Description
Since 1870, a period spanning five generations, the Eguren family has been dedicated to the cultivation of vines and the production and ageing of the best wines of La Rioja. They have been able to pass down from father to son both knowledge and tradition yet, at the same time, incorporate new advances in technology always maintaining their respect for the soil and the vine.
This luscious Rioja, made from the Tempranillo grape from the vineyard in San Vicente De La Sonsierra has flavours of blackberry, blueberry and cherry with underlying tones of coconut and oaky spice. To achieve these complex flavours the wine was aged in half French oak and half American oak barriques – 20% of them new – for 18 months.
This wine is delicious with red meats, particularly beef.
