Description
This superb wine, made from grapes from vines more than 40 years old, has flavours of blackberries and sour cherries with just a hint of green tea and nutmeg. It’s well-balanced with fine-grained tannins and a vibrant acidity, all culminating in a delicious savoury finish.
This Domaine first began producing wine in 1869 under the guidance of Pierre Guyot. Now with Pierre’s great, great grandchildren, Philippe and Stéphanie Boucard, at the helm, the Domaine is still highly regarded for its superb, mature reds, based on both Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, which are aged in the estate’s cellars.
Serve it at room temperature – or even lightly chilled – with roast pork or chicken.
