Description
Domaine Boussey has been passed down from father to son for 5 generations. A family farm located in the heart of the Burgundy region which is world famous for its red and white wines. Laurent and Karen Boussey, now operators of the family estate, have owned their own vineyards since 2003. Laurent’s parents, Denis and Claudette, retiring, leave to their son the whole Boussey farm to perpetuate the know-how of the winemakers in the family and pass on this heritage more than 60 years old to expert hands of the work of the vine. The estate now has 15 hectares of vineyards. Volnay, is a small village located between Pommard and Monthelie, at the foot of the Chaignot mountain and which overlooks the Côte de Beaune. Volnay is one of the most prestigious Burgundy appellations and is justifiably world famous.
Produced from 100% Pinot Noir, this superb wine from Burgundy has aromas and flavours of blackcurrant and dark cherry with hints of spice and dried plum. This is a subtle wine with complex and intense aromas which extend to the flavours – it can be enjoyed young, but it will evolve over time to develop even more intense spice and tertiary notes.
This wine is delicious with strong-flavoured cheese, poultry or lightly spiced tagines.
