Description
Since 1870, a period spanning five generations, the Eguren family has been dedicated to the cultivation of vines and the production and ageing of the best wines of La Rioja. They have been able to pass down from father to son both knowledge and tradition yet, at the same time, incorporate new advances in technology always maintaining their respect for the soil and the vine.
This delicious Rioja, made from the Tempranillo grape from vineyards in San Vicente De La Sonsierra and Labastida has flavours of ripe berry fruit with underlying tones of cocoa and coffee with just a hint of spice. To achieve these complex flavours the wine was aged in French oak barriques for 14 months.
This wine is delicious with barbecued meats, particularly lamb, and with dishes with a hint of spice.
