Description
The winery Otto Görgen is a farm grown from the tradition of many generations and is located in the so-called Cochem Krampen in the middle between Cochem and Zell. The Gorgen family have been tending the vines on the slopes of the Mosel Valley, the most famous of Germany’s Wine Regions, since 1707. Viticulture has been proven to be in the 8th generation since 1707, but probably even longer. Today, the winery is managed by the wine-growing technician Matthias Görgen and his parents. With this deep rooted history in wine making and particularly the Riesling variety, the family have received many awards and accolades for their consistent production of excellent wines from the most famous grape variety of this region.
Harvested by hand from the steep slopes of the Mosel, the harvest is late so that the vine can take full advantage and absorb the active ingredients of the fertile soils. With wonderful herbaceous aromas and flavours of green apple, lemon and limes on the palate. This delicate wine is medium dry with a touch of sweetness which is balanced by acidity and lovely pleasing finish.
Perfect with White Fish, Shellfish, Soft Cheeses, Poultry.
