Description
Peter Franus has been a well respected Winemaker in the Napa Valley for over 30 years. He has spent many of these years locating the best vineyards and has produced small batches of some of the best wines in the area. Working with growers from all over the region, he has built lasting relationships sourcing only the best quality grapes for his wines.
Predominately Zinfandel which is sourced from areas such as Rutherford and Mount Veeder, a small amount of Mourvedre and Syrah are blended, sourced from areas on Cobb Mountain some 3,000ft above sea level. The result is a wine of a different style to those usually found from the Napa area. a medium bodied and well structured Zinfandel. Deep coloured with lovely aromas of blackberries and dried herbs with hints of vanilla. The palate follows through with deeper flavours of black cherry, white pepper and toasty oak. Perfectly balanced with a smooth memorable finish.
Perfect with Roast Lamb, Game, Spicy Ragout, Mature Cheeses.
