Description
Forty Hall Vineyard is run and managed by local people as a not-for-profit social enterprise, based on the 170 acre organic mixed farm of Forty Hall estate in Enfield, north London. It began in 2009 when local wine enthusiast and social entrepreneur Sarah Vaughan-Roberts established the vineyard in partnership with Capel Manor College who own the Forty Hall estate. Since then it has gone from strength to strength, producing some outstanding wines, including this Bacchus.
Following harvest in September the grapes are driven to the winemaker Will Davenport at Davenport Wines in East Sussex, where the production takes place. Totally natural and unfiltered, the 100% Bacchus has a pale yellow coloura, afresh and vibrant with aromas of green apple and gooseberry. delicious flavours of citrus and peach. A nice minerality which lingers on the finish.
Exceptionally good with Seafood, Shellfish and soft creamy Cheeses.
