Description
Christophe Durand moved from Calvados to Cape Town, South Africa in 1995 where he established himself as a supplier of premium French Barriques. After meeting his wife, Sabrina they began a journey together to create and showcase wines with elegance, tradition and expression of terroir. These wines are finely crafted in the French tradition and the release of their first wine, was in 2000.
The grapes are sourced from different areas of Swartland and fermented in open tanks with whole bunches, no crushing or destemming is used. Aged in 70% Stainless Steel and 25% French Oak. The Wine is a lovely ruby colour with perfumed aromas of purple fruit, violet and spice following through onto the palette with is textured with lovely approachable tannins and a fresh lingering finish.
Pairs beautifully with beef stew, Moroccan lamb, grilled vegetables or vegetable samosas.
