Description

This organic wine, made from heritage grapes of the region, is full of rich black fruit flavours with hints of violets on the nose.

Clos Rocailleux is a tiny winery in Andillac, where English husband and wife team Jack and Margaret Reckitt live surrounded by their vines. We’ll leave it to them to describe their wines: ‘We want our wines to be the best expression we can make of this beautiful place and the grapes we grow. We’re passionate about preserving and enhancing the land and its crops for the future. We farm and make wine organically[…] using sustainable practices in the vineyard, keeping wildlife margins around the vines and exploring other ways in which we can respect and improve this beautiful environment. In 2017 we were proud to be certified as a farm complying with the highest environmental standards under the French Government’s demanding “Haute Valeur Environnmentale” scheme.’

This wine is perfect on its own but especially delicious served with grills, roasts and cheeses.
