This superb wine has aromas and flavours of citrus, green apple and white fruit, complemented by hints of dried herbs and flowers, and completed by a long mineral finish. Fermentation in oak barrels and ageing for 18months in oak, adds to the complexity of the wine, making it softer and rounder in the mouth and adding an additional layer of flavour.

Description
This superb wine has aromas and flavours of citrus, green apple and white fruit, complemented by hints of dried herbs and flowers, and completed by a long mineral finish. The Thenard family has owned land in Givry since 1760, but the estate was not officially founded until 1842. Over the years the estate has expanded to become one of the most important estates in Burgundy. The heart of the domaine remains in Givry, however, and has been under the direction of Baron Jean-Baptiste Bordeaux-Montrieux (his grandmother was a Thenard) since the early 1980’s. Their approach to winemaking remains traditional, respecting time-served methods and recognising the importance of the stewardship of the land.
This wine is delicious with white meat but really comes into its own with any fish dish, particularly turbot or sole.
