Description
The Baigorria family has been involved in Mendoza’s wine industry since 1960; first with the purchase of their own vineyards and later, in 2004, with their own winery. Located in the picturesque town of San Roque, Maipu, the winery was retrofitted from an old glass tile factory – combining new technology with traditional wine making techniques.
Mi Terruño, meaning “my terroir”, is managed by the brother-sister duo of commercial director, Gabriel Baigorria, and winemaker, Maria Eugenia Baigorria. Under Maria Eugenia’s guidance the Mi Terruño wines are driven by the unique expression of their own terroir and embodies their most important treasure, the grapes.
The grapes are harvested by hand, destemmed and crushed with cold skin contact prior to fermentation which is in stainless steel tanks at 13 – 16 degrees. This is a fresh and aromatic wine, straw yellow in colour with hints of topaz. Lovely aromas of rose and violet with notes of peach and apricot. the palate is light bodied and refreshing with a dry smooth texture and distinctive finish.
Exceptional with Asian Cuisine
