Description
In 1989, Christine and Dave Macdonald left their city lives behind to realise their dream of establishing a vineyard and winery. With caravan in tow the family embarked on a national tour to find the ideal winegrowing region and vineyard location. Settling in Marlborough, they planted their vineyard by hand, initially growing grapes for local wineries before creating their own wines under the Bladen name. Chris and Dave quickly developed a reputation for making exceptional cool climate wines. Bladen is an 8 hectare vinyard in the Marlbourough’s Wairau Valley.
Made with 100% Pinot Noir with just two hours skin contact, this delightful Pinot Noir Rose is a pale pink/peach colour with elegant aromas of strawberry, melon and peach with a hint of soft fresh herbs which adds complexity. A dry and refreshing wine that is crisp and fruity with a refreshing acidity and fine light tannins, this wine carries on delivering a lingering dry finish.
Perfect to drink as an aperitif but wonderful with Smoked Salmon, Chicken Terrine, Soft Cheese.
