Description

Albourne Estate is a family-owned boutique vineyard and winery overlooking the beautiful South Downs, just 8 miles from Brighton. With a range of multi-award winning still and sparkling wines are all “single estate” – distinctive and individual; grown, produced and bottled at the vineyard. 100% Albourne, 100% Sussex. The vineyard occupies a well-drained south-facing slope of Cretacious sandstone running parallel with the South Downs. The adjacent Winery, powered by roof-mounted solar panels, is kitted out with the latest wine making technology alongside more traditional oak barrels.

A blend of barrel-fermented Ortega grape and whole-bunch pressed Chardonnay, this wine has a lovely pale lemon colour with aromas of peach and candied lemon. The palate is well rounded with flavours of lychees and citrus with a lovely weight and body.

A lovely accompianment to Fish, Chicken and Creamy Pasta Dishes.
