Description

The Vincent family have owned Château Fuissé since 1862. Building on five generations of passion and expertise their wines sum up all that is great in the region.

As Antoine Vincent, who in 2003 became General Manager and Winemaker, explains: ‘The respect for terroir, the vintage and the Chardonnay varietal are the three essentials of the Château de Fuissé wines. The vinification is adapted to the specifics of each parcel. Vineyard expression, natural ripeness, concentration and minerality form the identity and character of our great White Burgundy wines.’

Château-Fuissé’s Pouilly-Fuissé Tête de Cuvée is sourced from more than 40 parcels of land located throughout the estate’s 100-acre holdings. The average age of the vines is 30 years and 20% is fermented in stainless steel tanks, the rest in barrels. The personal touch of Antoine in the final blend makes this wine the quintessential example of the Appellation.

This superb wine has complex flavours of ripe peach and apricot with hints of gentle citrus underpinned by honeysuckle and honey. The merest hint of oak adds a ripe creaminess and a touch of toast.

Enjoy this wine on its own to savour the complex flavours, or drink it with chicken and fine fish dishes.
